We rescued Georgie and sister Gracie out of the Maumee River where
somebody dumped them when only a couple weeks old. It was definitely
that person’s loss and our gain. They saw me thru my thirties, forties
and into my fifties. Sadly Gracie died a couple months after their 22nd
birthday from kidney failure. George just turned 23 on the birthday we
chose for them, May the 4th!
We are glad George-o is still happy and healthy. He still plays fetch,
demands hours of lap & cuddle time (my hug-hog...LOL), takes walks on a
leash, has something to say about everything and will answer you back if
you talk directly to him. Although we have and had many rescue cats, the
day we rescued these little water-logged kits was one of our best ever.
