We originally got
Mr. Sushi from a shelter to be a shop cat. He would get so scared when the doorbell rang he would hide so far up in the rafters you could never find him.
When the building was sold, the new owners said they would take care of him. When we checked on him about a month or so after that, we found him locked
in the back half of the warehouse in the dark, with no food, no water, no litter box, half starved. My husband had a hard time trying to catch him,
he was so scared. He clawed my husband's shirt something fierce, but we managed to get him into a carrier.
Since I already had three cats at home I didn't want another, so we called many shelters but they were overcrowded with kittens.
So I checked many friends, to no avail. Slowly I introduced him in with the other cats by leaving him in his carrier a few days. When he ate he cried,
he was so hungry. All he wanted to do was look out the window at the birds, there had been no windows in the shop. To make a long story short, we are
so happy that we saved him, he is a favorite and has really fattened up.
Mr. Sushi has the most interesting expressions on his face. He sits in his papa's recliner, talks to him when he comes home, and doesn't want to give up the chair. When Papa picks him up and puts him on the foot rest, he is totally content and stretches out. Mr. Sushi is very talkative. He is very alert and it's funny watching the action with his ears. He is his papa's cat but I love him dearly.
