About four years ago Munchkin came to us on a local trail. We were not sure
if she got lost or was left there, but she picked us to be her new
human parents. She came up from under the boardwalk and started to
walk with us. After awhile of walking she stopped, and started
crying when we kept going. We went back and started back to where
she found us and she continued on with us back toward the our van.
With two cats already in the house, we kind of questioned taking her with us.
But after the introduction period was over they get along fairly well.
Dani made it know she was the alpha cat in the house early on and
Munchkin leaves her alone. Whiskers does better with Munchkin, although
swatting matches still breakout between them, it is never very serious.
Since Munchkin grew so much I started nicknaming her Chunky Monkey. She's part of the family now and we don't regret letting her come into our lives.
