Priscilla was a feral kitten whom I grabbed about nine years ago. I got her sister one week later (Peony). Unlike many ferals I have since taken in, Priscilla had personality plus from day one and socialized herself like a champ. She koved me but loved strangers too (rare for ex-ferals, I have found). She loved affection and attention, and is the only cat out of many I have who leaped onto my shoulders. It was funny and cute if her nails were trimmed, and not so funny if those nails were not trimmed or if she startled me to death!
What was so great about this delicate little lady is how friendly she was to the other animals. No rancor. When I brought in feral kittens to foster, she was the only one allowed in the bathroom with them because rather than hissing, she groomed them and cuddled with them.
Very sadly, in July Priscilla became very ill and jaundiced, and after an ultrasound, I knew time was very short. I have a large number of beloved pets, but she was truly in the top three, so I was devastated. Not fair for such a sweet, good-hearted girl who never did one bad deed. By that I mean, no hissing at anyone else or nastiness as many others get up to! Just sweetness and light. She was my doll baby. Nine years beats no years for Priscilla Sue, my Priscilla Willa Bidilla.
