I got Soma on October 5th, 2015. I was late getting home from work and came across a woman who feeds a local feral colony in the middle of the daily feeding. I somehow wound up with a tiny sick kitten wrapped in a dishcloth. I fed him and bathed him to remove his fleas. A trip to the vet was unhopeful and we were told he would probably not make it.
Ten days later the vet was happy to admit being wrong, he was all over her exam table wanting to explore. His breed is truly unknown, but we suspect he's a Maine coon mix.
For being from feral heritage, he surprisingly never acted afraid or timid of me and my brother. He is now a fluffy, hyper boy who seems to have been born to be a housecat. He loves to jump in my lap and climb on my chest to be held. Sometimes I have to wear a sling to hold him in so I can get some typing or reading done.
He is already very big, in the bottom picture, he was six months old, and almost the same size as his sister Mewlie, who is six years old. When not being held he likes to invent games by experimenting with ways to toss his toys in the air and attack them when (or before) they land. I love him!
