Tuffy, along with a little female orange tabby, were abandoned by some renters on the corner of my block. I figured it out a couple of days after the people had moved out. Tuffy would not come to me, but the little girl kitty did and I was able to get her a home fairly quickly.
After I had placed the female kitty, Tuffy disappeared and I was so worried. But, as luck would have it, he had been trapped by our local TNR(Trap, Neuter and Return) lady one block up from me and she had gotten him fixed and returned him to the neighborhood. It was about a month later when I saw him again for the first time and he started following Handsome (one of the TNR kitties I take care of) home and I started feeding him.
I didn't realize at first that he had been TNR'd because they barely took anything off his left ear. It wasn't until I talked to the lady one block up that I found out she had trapped him. So, to make a long story shorter, Tuffy just moved in like he belonged here with me and my three other boy cats, who accepted him right away. He is such a sweet boy, it is beyond my understanding how anyone could just go off and leave him and his little sister (that is what I call her) behaind.
