Kylie's birthday is the 4th of July! She is the alpha cat in our clowder of 11 and is quite the outdoor girl. She doesn't abuse her power as alpha, but the other cats certainly do respect and emulate her. Kylie is quite the outdoor girl, as seen in many of the photos, but she always comes inside at the end of the day (it's a house rule!). She even likes winter.
Kylie has been diabetic for several years now, though her case can be quite puzzling. She has already had one episode of going "non-diabetic," so we monitor her status regularly with the vet. Despite the insulin shots and oral B-12 (to maintain strength in her legs), she remains strong and active and like most cats has no intention of letting anything slow her down. We love our "Miss K" and hope she stays strong for many years to come!
