Cedric came into my life in August of last year. With two senior cats at home, his energy level and amazing spirit brought life into a family that needed it desperately.
I have watched him grow over the past year and he has honestly been the best thing that has happened to me in 2015/2016. In the same month we got him a friendly neighborhood cat named Beau went missing. He was like our third cat before Cedric. We were his second home.
Cedric helped me grieve over Beau and he brought a new spark into my life. As someone who fights every day with her mental illness (anxiety and depression) it's hard to get up some days but Cedric manages to make life worth living. I cannot wait to get up and snuggle him or play with him outside in the backyard. He runs up to me, brushes himself against my leg and protects me.
This little cat has made me smile more this year than anyone else could. He reminded me of why I love animals the way I do. He's brightened up people in my life who needed to brighten up and as he turns one year old I can look back and smile. I cannot wait for what the future holds for us.
