Pearl was adopted in January of 2015. Since then, she has become a great companion to me. She is very talkative, always meowing and chirping to say hello or tell me she wants to play. She is very curious, always looking into new things and showing her adventurous side. Pearl is very loving and quick to purr.
Pearl is my first tortoiseshell cat. She is very playful. One of her favorite games to play is what I like to call 'Fish Stick.' It's a little fish sewn onto a string, connected to a stick, almost like. Fishing pole. She loves to bat the fish around and try to catch it. Pearl also likes playing with her FroliCat BOLT laser toy. When I first met Pearl at the shelter, I learned that she came into the shelter with another cat. Both she and the cat she same in with were older but very friendly. Pearl was very talkative and she had such a beautiful coat. I learned later that Pearl and the cat she came in with were very close, always choosing to sleep next to one another. It was then, I decided to head home with two older cats.
Pearl was very shy for the first few months. She was always hiding under the bed and running when ever she was in view of a person. Pearl has since grown from that stage and is now a very loving caring cat. Whenever I get home, she always greets me by meowing for about 10 minutes. She is always following me around the house waiting for me to sit down so she can hop up and sit next to me. Her favorite places to relax are the back of the couch or the foot of the bed. Pearl is eleven years old now and she is doing very well.
