Named for the fire on her forehead, Katniss loves to sunbathe and chase after small animals. The Hunger Games book series' main character is named Katniss Everdeen, and one of the books is tilted Catching Fire. The character Katniss is a hunter, too, so that fits our girl, as well!
My sister and I picked Katniss the kitten out of a litter from my Aunt's cat last summer - and she and I have the same birthday! When we brought her home, she immediately took a liking to our pitbull. They have been best friends ever since.
Katniss likes her picture being taken. Every time I have my camera out, she comes to inspect it, and then sits or lays down right in front of me. When I am done with my pictures, she runs off to play in the grass. She also loves butterflies. I love her very much!
