Elliot is a one-year-old brown classic tabby and white Longhaired Scottish Fold. He is
not only our beloved family member and one of three Scottish Folds in our house, but
also a show cat! Scottish Folds originated in Scotland in 1961 when a white barn cat
named Susie was found to have folded ears, a trait that was passed on to some of her
offspring. The breed was developed from these cats, and has come to be a very much
loved and cherished breed of cat today.
Elliot joined our family at four months of age, and after getting adjusted to our house and
our other pets we also had to get him used to being bathed and groomed in preparation
for cat shows. Luckily, he is a very good boy and actually likes his baths! He has a very
easygoing temperament, which is typical of Scottish Folds, and he actually enjoys going
to shows and loves all the attention he gets from people. Luckily for us, the judges
thought Elliot was just as handsome as we did, and he finished the show season last
year as the #1 Scottish Fold Longhair in TICA (The International Cat Assocation), and
he's also a Quadruple Grand Champion! Most importantly to us, he's an amazing pet
and member of our family and a wonderful ambassador for his breed. We're very proud
of our fluffy little Foldie!
