Back in November of 2014, the SPCA burned down and a bunch of homeless cats died. It was heartbreaking because I was looking forward to getting my first cat. But then, the owner of the SPCA found Sassy, when they saw Sassy, they knew they wanted to keep their cause going. People from all over Canada heard about the story of the SPCA burning down and the support was overwhelming. They eventually were able to get a new place to keep the new cats that needed homes.
I was happy about this because it meant I was still going to be able to find a cat. In July of 2015, I was determined to bring a cat home. So when I went to the SPCA I looked around. When I laid my eyes on Sassy, there was an instant connection. She was so happy to see me and her tail wagged like a little dog, not kidding either. That's when we brought her home.
Now, I wouldn't be able to part with her. I have bad anxiety and most of the times, I suffer in silence. But, when I need someone, I turn to Sassy and she knows that I need her. She'll stay by my side until she feels that I'm better. I don't know what I'll do if something were to happen to her. Sassy is literally the best cat I've ever owned and there's no doubt that she doesn't love me and everyone else in the house, even the annoying dogs.
