This was my beautiful cat, Ginger. My sister had her from a kitten, but when she moved away, she gave Ginger to me. Ginger was a very vocal kitty and loved to follow me around. Sometimes I would step on her paws by accident when she got underfoot and screamed the most ghastly scream. For a cat of her age, she had a very keen sense of hearing and could still jump high on to a bed or a table. She loved to sit with me when I would lie down and also got jealous when I talked on the telephone. She would come from out of nowhere when she heard me on the phone and would jump on the table and try to get my attention.
She was a very finicky cat and only liked cat food made of chicken. When we sat down to dinner, she insisted on finding out what I was eating (even though I had just fed her). As soon as I give a piece of our food for her to taste, she would sniff it, and then just walk away. She just needed to know what I was having. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge in December 2015. She passed away on the way to the hospital. She was very special to me and, I look forward to being with her again someday.
