Tommy is a rescue cat who I adopted from Easel animal shelter in Eweing New Jersey when he was seven months old. His previous humans decided they didn't want him anymore because it was easier to dump him off at an animal shelter than it was to take care of him and give him the veterinary care that he needed.
Tommy is a healthy kitty now and keeps me healthy too. I'm disabled and unable to work anymore, so I don't know what I would do without him.
Tommy has a very unique personality and does things that I've never seen a cat do. I have several videos of him taking my sofa pillows and dragging them around my apartment. He also does things like helping himself to food items in the kitchen cabinets and taking the blankets off of my bed and dragging them into the living room. He's an excellent jumper and can jump as high as 5' and catch things out of mid-air! Then he jumps up onto my shoulders while I'm washing dishes. He's definitely a one of a kind cat!
He also has some of his favorite games, like catching crinkly balls and catnip filled mice. He sometimes even leaves his toys next to my pillow while I sleep. Tommy is super affectionate and often falls asleep on my lap, or if I'm sleeping he will sometimes sleep on my back. He is definitely a cat that enjoys human companionship and greets me at the door when I come home if I'm away for more than an hour. Tommy loves to meow a lot and he has several different types of meows, ranging from cute little chirps, to much deeper and much louder meows. Tommy is my only cat and it's just him and me living in my apartment. He is a great cat and my I hope to enjoy many more years with him.
