Sprout was dumped at a high-kill shelter with her mom and three siblings. A rescue pulled them with the intent to transfer them to a rescue in San Diego that had space. However, when the mom tested Fiv+ the San Diego rescue wouldn't take mom or the babies (who were FIV negative). They had nowhere to go, so they came to live with me because I know FIV is NO big deal. They have never left me, nor will they!
Sprout was the runt of the litter and the most shy. I decided to shower her with affection, and she has grown into a loving and very vocal cat. She demands my attention by standing on her tip toes and reaches up to me to be picked up. She even bites me if I stop petting her. She is a love and I'm so glad I got to keep this family.
