On September 30th, 2015 my then-fiancee had gotten off work with a kitten in her arms. Given by a coworker of hers we had our first moment with Courage. When brought home, she was introduced to our dog Bradson and she instantly proved she was not to be pushed around (hissing and spitting). We were told she was a boy at first and would develop in a few weeks, yet that never happened and the name "Serenity" was added on. She is half Maine Coon, though the other half is unknown. Though her name is officially Serenity Courage, she esponds to Courage.
She quickly took a liking to my fiancee, and would regularly sleep with her. I had to earn her trust a little more, but she would like to hunt my socks, while my feet were still in them. Her first year she tended to and played with our eldest cat who was showing signs of passing soon. When the elder cat passed away Courage would go to her bed and sniff around for her until she understood. She is a natural alpha and protective of her home and those that stay in it, if she feels a threat is near she will growl and go to meet it.
For two years so far we have hd her, and she continues to bring smiles to our faces, either by just being herself or being playful.
