Bob says "Boo."
Bob survived the 2012 El Reno, Oklahoma tornado, then he landed in a shelter. He was rescued after my other cat Mitch died and the replacement kitty failed desperately. I tried too fast to replace Mitch, and came home with a cat that hid from me for two weeks. Already heartbroken by the loss of Mitch, I sadly found myself returning this skittish cat that was not a fit. While at the rescue center, returning the other cat, in the corner of my eye I saw a very active, interested (in me) fella. Bob was clearly trying to let me know that he was my cat!! I took the bait, and took Bob home. I have never looked back and won't.
You can never replace what you had, but what if you get, dare I say, Better? That would be Bob. He is the most interactive, almost too smart cat that I have ever known. He is a huge cat, over 42'' from head to tail and larger than life paws. He is scared of very little and is so sound that even when he goes to the vet, who calls him "Bob Cat,'' he rides in the car like it's an adventure. At the vet, he is not caged but allowed to walk around like he owns the place!. He is hands on, can open doors, drawers, boxes, cabinets all to my dismay! I have to try and Cat Proof the house because he can get into more things than a five-year-old kid. He plays fetch, has lots of toys, has a picture of a cat who looks like him on the wall that he actually adores and stands up to kiss it! I call it his girl friend! He has dog friends, too. His affection knows no boundaries.
His story really can't be put into words based on how he has enhanced my life, but a few pictures, and these brief words are worth sharing. Bob has been a Godsend.
