Baby and her sister were found on the road on my 18th birthday in September three years ago.
One was already cold and in bad shape ... but Baby had over half her paw missing and a broken tail, thoughnothing vital. The veterinarian said were three weeks old and had their injuries for a week. Baby's sister didn't make it through the first night, but we made her as comfortable as possible, as no vet was available at the time. Both kittens looked exactly the same. We wish we could have saved her, too, but at least we gave her affection and got her to purr despite how bad her injuries were before she passed.
As for Baby, I bottle fed her around the clock, changed her bandage and gave her medicine every day. I took her everywhere I went. She was my baby.
Now she is a beautiful cat and has a crazy personality. Her paw doesn't seem to bother her, either. She is just a spoiled, happy cat, that loves to play and sometimes has mischievous tendencies.
