This is Moustique (which is the French word for mosquito). He is a French European Shorthair. He has three colors, which is pretty rare for a male European Shorthair. Moustique is my first cat. When my parents brought him to our house he was pretty shy. I do not know why, but he only decided to get out of his cage when he saw me. Since that day we have shared a special bond. I remember the first night he was home, there was a storm, so he came to sleep with me and slept on my face. He really liked to do that when he was young.
Moustique is a scaredy-cat, he can be afraid of a small bug. Moustique is very funny. He can sleep in unbelievable positions and he snores a lot. Moustique is also very clever. He recognizes himself in the mirror. When he was young he saw me drink water straight from the tap and decided to copy me. Now he always wants to drink this way.
Moustique loves to drink, especially since he was diagnosed with diabetes a couple of years ago. He loves to drink so much that he even sleeps on a chair in the bathroom so that when he sees someone he meows so we give him water. If we don't give him water he follows us around, and meows at us so that we follow him back to the bathroom. Moustique is adorable and I love him so much.
