Piper is a rescue kitten. I adopted her a few months ago from a cat and kitten rescue association. I had lost my beloved cat Cairo of 19 years five months earlier to old age. I was devastated and decided not to get another cat for some time, unless it was a silver tabby. I had one growing up and thought they were beautiful cats. When I realized that I missed having a cat around more than I expected, I decided to look for a rescue cat. Again I insisted on a silver tabby and thought it would be hard to find a silver rescue. Well, fortunately for me, it was not a difficult endeavor. When I saw her and subsequently met her I knew she would be the next cat that would "own" me. Not only is she a beautiful cat she has the sweetest demeanour and has filled that void in my life from the loss of Cairo.
"Meep, mew" Hi everyone. My name is Piper and I'm a pretty little lady. I can be shy around new people but once I am comfortable I will come and sniff you and perhaps let you pet me. My human mom is the only one I let pet me, right now. I was abandoned, along with my sisters at a very young age. We had fleas and ringworm and no mommy to speak of. Thank goodness for the kindness of strangers. They brought my sisters and I to a safe place where we received medicine and stayed in foster homes until we were well enough to be adopted.
I don't like loud noises and keep to myself so my human mom knew I would thrive with her. And I am!! I have a thick fur coat with pretty, pretty markings, bright green eyes and run around my home to get my exercise, when my mom isn't playing with me. I curl up on her lap, play with paper and inspect every corner of my home. Then I plunk down on the bed and rest until it's time to do it all again. I also like to sleep on my mom's lap and stretch out on my back. I have a good home and I know my mom loves me. She even says I'm the prettiest cat ever! I know I am!
