This is Divina, a domestic shorthair who is three years old and lives in Vermont. My family got Divina a month after our cat Elizabeth died. My mom posted on front porch forums saying she was looking for a cat, and this little cutie's previous owners were moving to India! When I first met her I immediately fell in love, so we just had to adopt her!
Unfortunately I don't have many clear pictures of her since she moves so much. I was lucky to get some of these pictures to look as good as they do!
Divina is an absolute sweetheart. She loves laying on her cat tree, our pool table bench (you can see her sitting in this in a few of the pictures), on mom's desk (just like Elizabeth used to!), and on one of mom's chairs.
One day I decided to try to brush her (her previous owners said she didn't like being brushed, but I figured I should try as it could have been the brush they were using) and as I was brushing her fur, she immediately rubbed her head against the brush and grabbed it away from me! She began biting on the bristles and rubbing her cheeks on it. Now I don't dare take it off of her cat tree, since she always loves rubbing her face on it and for some reason chewing the bristles (our other cat, Mittens, did this when she was younger. It's really adorable, honestly). But sometimes she knocks it off of her cat tree so I (or my dad) have to go looking for it. It's almost as bad as when our dog - Bagel - loses the soda bottles he plays with under the couch!
Divina has such a loud, lovely purr. She will purr just when you pick her up! (Though she really only likes it when I pick her up, but sometimes she lets mom pick her up) She doesn't complain at all when you hug her. She's just an amazing girl!
Right now she's laying on the pool table bench sleeping. I might go there and give her a little pet... she's such a sweetie, I could go on and on about her... but honestly, who wouldn't love a little furball like her?
