My kitten's name is Arthur. The vet said he should be aged around ten months by now. His breed is European shorthair with some Chartreux. Arthur, his friends ( a dog and a guinea pig) and i, are living in Belgium (in the french speaking part of the country). We live in the Hainaut
Arthur isn't my first cat. I had one when I was little, and he was sixteen years old when he passed away. On February 17th, 2017, my dad found him in a box in the bottom of my backyard. The weather were really awful. Arthur was with another white and black kitty. (we didn't keep the white one). We keep Arthur because the organization that keeps "abandoned pets" wanted to kill him because he was "too small to be neutered."
He was very small, dirty, stinky, skinny (600 grams) and very sick. He was suffering from hard coriza, fleas, worms, bloodstain in the eyes, not well fed at all. He had to take some medecines during more than one month. For the three last days, Arthur was at the vet to get the medicine via some injections. He ended up refusing to swallow the medecine, poor little thing. The vet told us “He might not survive, I'll do my best to heal him.”
Since he has healed, we say Arthur has a brain full of tricks. Always running, playing all over in the house, his favorite game is "bothering" Kinder the guinea pig. My piggy was the first animal he met. He LOVES knocking some stuff down on the floor, watching you and saying, "It wasn't me ... I know I shouldn't, but I do it anyway." About cuddling, it is when he wants - he doesn't like being picked up in our arms. I don't know what hislife was like before he arrived at home, but he is scared of all "big noises." He comes into my bed at 4.30 am every early morning.
He doesn't like people he doesn't know, he runs way.
He is used to traveling in the car and camper, and walks with a leash.
He has a lot of beds and cat games.
When I say "He has healed," that's not really true, because he still has some consequences in "breathing" and eating. He only can stand "food for sensitive cats."
A little general message: To reduce the huge number of unwanted/unhappy kittens => male and female has to be neutered. I don't think we will ever know a situation of "no cats anymore." Kittens (and others kinds of animals) don't deserve to be rid of like a useless old sock. They're living beings! They know thehis friends will all thank you.
