Dexter is becoming quite the old man at 17 years old, but he still has spurts of kitten like energy. I got Dexter 16 years ago while I was in high school. The family had never had cats, and I didn't ask if they wanted one. I ended up sneaking Dexter in through my bedroom window one afternoon, and he lived in my room unnoticed for over two weeks! By the time my mom found him, my family had no choice but to accept him.
He isn't afraid of anything and will stand up to dogs that get a little too friendly. He loves to be tucked in where ever he chooses to nap. Dexter also likes to be talked to, and especially likes to hear just how handsome he is. Dexter is such a cuddle bug, and when he's laying with me, you can hear his purr from across the room. I hope he has many more years in him, I love him so very much!
