This is Apollo. He is named after Apollo, the god of music, light, and healing in Greek Mythology. Naming him after the greek god of music turned out to be fitting because he is a very vocal cat.
I got Apollo at the beginning of my Sophomore year of college when he was just six weeks old. I had just moved out of the dorm rooms on campus and was living by myself in a one bedroom apartment and needed some company. He turned out to be the perfect companion who has now been with me for just over five years. We've been through a lot together, so there's no doubt about it when I say he's my best bud!
Apollo is mainly an inside cat, but loves to go outside in our yard for a few minutes during the day to roll around in the grass and get his daily dose of sunshine. He is a cat of simple pleasures and it doesn't take a lot for him to have fun. He loves to play with his favorite furry mouse toy, hair ties, and turning brown paper bags into his own personal fort. Also, if there are any empty boxes laying around, no matter how small, you can bet he'll do his best to squeeze himself into them. Once he's all worn out and done playing, he loves to spend the rest of his time curled up on his favorite chair.
Contrary to popular belief, Apollo is a cat who LOVES attention. He is very loving and one of his favorite things to do is cuddle. Apollo gets along with anyone; humans and animals alike (as long as you're nice, of course). Oh, and if you have head scratches to give, you get bonus points.
As far as dislikes go, he doesn't have many. Only three; getting wet, closed doors, and a half-empty food bowl.
I love this little furry companion of mine, and I'm so glad the feeling is mutual.
