I got Snowie at four months old through the local Siamese rescue group as a companion for my other older male rescue cat Cubby. She was abandoned at a Tijuana Mexico vet's office and then taken in by a foster mom from the rescue group.
The foster mom and I corresponded and then made a plan to meet halfway between our homes. I drove two hours north and we met in a hotel parking lot to fill out the rescue group paperwork and transfer Snowie to my carrier. Though I know Snowie was scared, she purred immediately when I first petted her. On the drive home, I talked to her softly and reassuringly.
Snowie assimilated to the household easily. She is a very affectionate and playful kitty and gets along well with Cubby who was abused and found on the streets out in the desert. Now they chase and groom each other. And boy, can she talk up a storm when she has something to say!!
She has been like an angel in our household. Cubby and I are very happy and fortunate. She is in our lives.
