We found Buffy in an animal shelter when she was about six weeks old. The woman working at the shelter told us that they had found Buffy sitting behind a dumpster. She thought it was strange that Buffy was all alone and that neither Buffy's mother nor any other kittens could be found. When we entered the room where the cats were being kept, Buffy ran straight towards us and jumped into my mom's arms. It was love at first sight! Today, Buffy is already ten years old. It's amazing how time flies.
Buffy is a very loving and affectionate cat. She really hates being alone. So, everytime we leave her alone somewhere, she'll immediately wake up and follow us. If we are, however, no where to be found, she'll start meowing as loud as she can! She has the funniest meows and they're not very lady-like! She just loves being close to people. She's also extremely clumsy! I can't even begin to count the times she's knocked something over. She always makes us laugh.
She is also very protective of us. One time, our neighbours cat tried to come in through our window and Buffy did not like that. She jumped onto the windowsill and helplessly tried to scare him away by lifting her paw and giving out little meows. It was hilarious and not very intimidating!
We are all very happy and grateful to have such a wonderful animal and hope that she will remain in our lives for many more years to come.
