This is Mocha. He used to belong to our youngest daughter but due to work commitments when he was around five years of age, she needed to get another home for him. As you can see he had the most beautiful almond shaped blue eyes with lovely black mascara surrounding them like a border. At the time in our city, you were only allowed to keep three registered cats and we already had three pensioner cats and so we put his picture up at the vets in the hope that some nice person would want him. But no! what was wrong with people. My husband always wanted to keep him and said he was a bit like another grandchild. In the end we flaunted the local law and kept him in the hope that we could get him the home that he deserved. That was five years ago now and all the others have come and gone.
Mocha has a great life and we still refer to him as our daughter's Tracey's child. Tracey is in Switzerland now with her husband and she often says hello to Mocha on Skype where she can see him and he can hear her. He is always where the people are especially in the winter. He can come and go as he pleases as my husband has put in a special Mocha door at the bottom of one of those windows which go down to the floor. He is well-fed and very loved and rarely monsters birds but does bring home the occasional mouse and has even been known to kill a rat or two.
Australia is only a small population compared to America but he once won a highly commended photogenic cat competition (no 250 in Australia). We think he is a lovely cat except when he is moulting. It pays to have lots of fluff-removing tools for dark clothing at that time of year!
I hope you like him.
