Here is our Mollie Rose. She is about four years old and she is a medium-haired cat. (We don't know the breed!) She lives with us, her four children, the babies' dad, and an aunt and uncle in Gardiner, Maine.
We think she is special because she is the most attentive mother to her four kittens - well, they are almost two years old, but they will always be "the babies." She has taken my husband under her wing as one of her own. She is always by his side no matter where he goes in the apartment. If he is sick, she will sit right next to the bed until he gets up, and follow him into the bathroom, or wherever he goes. She licks off his feet every day after his shower, and will watch out of the corner of her eye to make sure he is not paying attention to any of our other cats. She is extremly protective of him!
We adopted her as a tiny kitten, and she had a real dis-liking for females, and was a little aggressive, so we nicknamed her "maulie", because she tried to maul people. Of course she has completley mellowed with age, but the name stuck -- we prefer a more gentle version of Mollie!
