One and a half years ago, on a chilly day, I was on my way to my home. As I got closer to home, suddenly I heard a different voice, like it was a call for help. I thought it was an injured bird. I looked at the trees but saw nothing. Then, under the shadow of a palm tree, I saw a very small and furry baby on the ground of someone's front garden. I waited for her mother to come and cuddle her, but she didn't show up. The baby was not even moving, she was just there lying still. So I realized that she was left alone. Then I took her on my arms. She looked at me and put her head on my hand trustingly. I said to her: "Don't worry. Your dad is here now. I will never leave you, Gölge."
She got her name because of where I found her. Gölge means shadow in Turkish. She still loves to lie under the trees, but still, whenever I take her in my arms, she puts her head on my hand, trustingly.
This is her story and this makes her very special to me. But I have to add this: All the cats in the world are special. Well, mine is just a bit more maybe! :)
