This is our cat, Melody. We don't know exactly how old she is or what her breed is, because we found her in a storm drain on our street. We suspect she is eight or nine years old. She was scared at first when we took her home, but she warmed up quickly and is now the sweetest (and most beautiful) cat I have ever laid eyes on. She loves to sit in laps and lick my fingers. She is an elegant lady with dainty paws that make her look like a debutante wearing white gloves.
The name Melody turned out to be very apropos, as she's very vocal and never hesitates to make her feelings known.
Lately she likes to chase the shadow of her feather toy on the kitchen floor. She's very picky with her toys and doesn't use them often, preferring a comfortable seat on a lap to an exciting romp with a toy. Exactly what you'd expect of a fine lady!
We love her with all our hearts, and she fills our days with joy.
