Syd the Kat came to us skinny, matted, and scarred on a cold January day. He had taken shelter in our barn. After a visit to the vet where he was treated, neutered and shaved, he began to recuperate as part of the family - which includes myself and husband, four Weimaraners, and one Lhasa Apso.
For several years he was allowed access to the barn and house, but this Spring we had to restrict him to the house for safety reasons, so we built a large screened sun porch for his use. (We included a picture.) Syd is adjusting to a more domestic lifestyle, but still misses his roaming ways! At his age, though, we think it is time he settled down a bit!
