This is Phoebe. She is a tortoiseshell girl, and we live in Sydney, Australia. She is special for so many reasons, it's hard to pin down just one, but I'll try to be brief: she was a rescue kitten from my local shelter, and even though she was tiny (and still is) she has ruled the roost from day one. Her defiant meows and delightful archy-back stretches have won the hearts of people everywhere (she even has a neighbourhood fan club). One Friday night, when she was a year old, Phoebe was hit by a car. Miraculously, she was okay, apart from some scuffed feet, bruising and trauma. I was so happy that she survived that - so many cats do not.
She has been a mostly indoors cat since then, though does still sneak outside from time to time. But she is more often perched on or right near me, which as you can see, she started as a kitten. She has the household wrapped around her multicolored paws.
