Molly was a rescue kitty that we have had for about a year now. She was so shy and timid when we first got her, we weren't sure if she would ever warm up to us. Well, that has definately changed! I think once she realized that she was part of the family and we loved her and would never hurt her, she suddenly became a Fabulous Princess! She is still as sweet as ever, but, let me put it this way, she has learned about the comforts of home.
In this picture, she is on top of my computer monitor; she likes to lay on it (it's toasty warm) while I am online and watch me. And if I am not talking to her while I'm looking on eBay (for cat toys, of course), she will put her front legs and paws over the screen until I look at her. That is after I had to lean down to the couch and let her jump on my shoulder and carry her over to the computer. Otherwise, she would have to jump about a foot and a half to get to it. Obviously, princesses don't jump. I included a close-up so you can see how pretty her eyes are, with light and darker blue.
Also, when it is bedtime, I go to bed first and warm up the bed. About 10 minutes later, when Molly is ready to come to bed, she jumps up by my pillow to let me know that I have to move over so she can have the warm area and then she climbs under the covers. Once she is cozy, she lays on her side all night with all four paws on ME! She is all about being warm. I can't keep her out of my towels when I just get them out of the dryer.
One of her favorite things to do is play with the laser light. She just goes crazy for it. When I shine on the ceiling, she will sit up on her back legs (like a begging dog) and 'chatters' at the light. She will stretch her front paws up in the air, like she can reach it. It's so amusing. Now, whenever I say, "Get it Molly", she will sit up on her back legs and stare up a the ceiling and start chattering, even if we aren't playing with the laser light. That's payback for putting her cold paws on me at night!! lol
Molly has brought a lot of life and fun back into our home. We adore our princess!
