This is my beautiful senior girl, Astrid. She is eleven years old and part Maine Coon. And she comes from a rescue after being abandoned by her previous owners when they moved house. She plays just like a kitten despite her age and has the sass of a 16-year-old human girl. I love her very much.
I lost my other senior cat about three weeks ago and I have only had Astrid for a short time, but she is just lovely. She doesn't care for dogs but gets along fine with other cats. She meows like a regular cat despite the Maine Coon in her. Her size and look is about the only thing Maine Coon about her. She decides when she's done being pet and she'll let you know with an irritated meow. She loves to walk in the park on her harness and roll around in all the leaves and grass. But most of all she loves to curl up and sleep the day away.
