This is my family's cat Ginger. Ginger started out her life as one of a litter of feral kittens born to a stray in a field. Later the kittens were found and taken in by a lady and given to her sister to raise and find homes for. In this ladies home the kittens were fostered by the ladies two large dogs, one a Rottweiler mix and the other a Husky.
How Ginger came into our lives was the day that we found an ad in our paper. After checking with our parents and calling the foster home my two brothers and I took our little sister out to look at the kittens. She was overjoyed by all the cute kittens, but the smallest one stole her heart.
Fourteen years later she is the master of the house. Any time that someone sits down she is in your lap purring and chirping loudly. She also enjoys jumping up onto your shoulder and riding around the house as you go about your day. Other times she loves being held like a baby listening to your heart beat. She has even learned to climb up on furniture close to the door and move the drapes to the side so that she can look out the door to she who is coming or what is going on outside. Though most of the time you will find her curled up in my sister's lap asleep knowing that she will never be a stray again.
