Tootsiebelle was fifteen years old, and is recently deceased. Tootsie was a rescue cat who came to us from the RSPCA 8 years ago and has filled our house with love and happiness ever since. When Tootsie died, she left us with a big hole in our hearts. Her loving, playful ways filled our days with delight. She talked fifty to the dozen and always came when called. She didn't like loud noises so was happy in our large quiet garden, but she hid from visitors until she was sure she could trust them.. She used to sun herself on the flat roof of the garage next door where she chirruped at any bird who came near, She once gave us a present of a live rat and deposited it in our bedroom, followed by much panic on our parts.
She always announced her arrival through her cat door with a loud miaow (even during the night) and, if her fur was wet with rain, she presented herself to us to be towelled dried. This brought on very loud purrs. We miss her sleeping between our heads and lying on books we were trying to read. Tootsie will always be remembered as the best cat in the world to us.
