I adopted Aspa from the street when she was two months old. She immediately became indispensable part of the family. She loved to play with rubber bands made for holding a ponytail. She used to play with them and then leave them by her food bowls. At one time when we had to move to the apartment downstairs (to revamp our apartment) we naturally moved her bowls downstairs as well. She went upstairs, took her rubber bands in her mouth and moved them downstairs next to her bowls!
She also loved to hunt for birds (from sparrows to pigeons) in the nearby hills. Although we made every effort to save those poor birds, most of them were already dead when she brought them home.
She always spent at least part of her night on my bed (and usually tried to take up as much space as she could) while I was sleeping of course. We were virtually inseperable.
Sadly she was run over by a car a couple of months after this picture was taken, as she was returning from her bird-watching spot on the hill. She passed away in a few minutes and was buried in her favorite spot. It has been two years now and there hasn't been a day to go by without thinking about her.
