Phoenix is my son's special cat. In the morning when I let him in the house, he snacks quickly, then runs right up to my son's room and meows at his door until let in.
Earlier this year, my son went away to school. Phoenix would sit and stares at his door for hours, sometimes meowing. When I let him in, he takes a tour around and comes right out - his best friend isn't there.
Summer's here now, though, and quarantine is ending, and they'll be together again. They are both looking forward to it.
