The mother of my cat was fixed - so they were told, anyway. A few months later the owners noticed she was acting funny and hiding a lot. Later they found her in the closet with a kitten. The kitten was the sister to my cat, her name is Shira. Later the owners noticed that the mother was still acting strange, they picked her up and saw my little Styx not all way out of the mothers birth canal. The owner, not knowing what to do and worried because she was so small and her skin color was blue, pulled her the rest of the way out and then massage her to get her breathing. They didn't believe she would make it through the day, but they placed her in a towel near a heater and watched her. Well, she made it. A few months later we came to pick up Shira for my wife,. During our visit with the owners, I met my Styx, she ran up to me with no fear, climbed on me and fell asleep. The owners stated that normally she was afraid of everyone and sick all the time so nobody wanted her. I told the couple I would take her. So we left that day with my Styx and my wife's Shira.
Since I have had her she has never again been sick and she is my little mouse, she wakes me every morning three to five minutes before my alarm goes off. She does this by sitting on my chest and breathing in my face. She is much smaller than her sister, but she keeps up, plays back rough and loves us very much. I never really wanted a cat of my own, I always wanted a dog, but I believe that she is a good friend to me, and she is always there looking for some loving whenever I get home. All I have to do is make a tss-tss sound through my teeth and she knows it is me and comes running. Here is a picture of my mouse alone, and also pictures with her sister.
