There is nothing remarkable about Lizzie. Except that she could steal your heart in about two seconds. We were given Lizzie when she was very young. We were told she was a male, healthy, and just had her physical. Lizzie was a girl, badly infected with ear mites and needed to be fixed. We could return her but there was no chance of that after five minutes of petting and loving. She was our little girl.
The doctor thought she was partly "ragdoll" and because her fur went in twelve different directions; we accepted that she was a ragdoll. Lizzie immediately became our greeter and friend to all; except the two boy cats(Jake and Ozzie). To the boys, Lizzie was a toy and under their rule. However, they had no idea who they were dealing with. Lizzie was so clever with a touch of devious. She would wait till she was alone with the boys, then throw herself on the ground and scream. Either myself or my wife would run to her defense with a quick scolding for the boys while Lizzie would watch with pleasure and enjoy her victory. We caught Lizzie in time but never let the boys know about her game. Lizzie always got even!
A couple of weeks ago, Lizzie stopped eating. We thought it was due to the rabies shot she had received the week before. We immediate went into crisis management to help our little girl. After many tests, we discovered she had a very large tumor in her stomach and by then she had gone downhill. Lizzie lost her battle to cancer and we lost our little girl. As I said, she could steal your heart. We will miss her and her brothers still look for her every day. She was our pet of the day, every day.
