Shawkat was abandoned by her mother when she was only one or two days old! They were in front of our house but her mother moved them to a different place I couldn't find, leaving Shawkat by herself. I saw her laying on the ground as if she was already gone, but fortunately I found out that she's still alive. I went as fast as I could to the nearest pet store to buy milk and a syringe (since we don't have a vet near us). She refused to be fed with a syringe so I had to go again and buy a small bottle, she started to drink with passion like if she just returned to life.
I couldn't sleep at all, I had to wake up every two hours to feed her and I failed a course in college because I didn't have time to sleep or to study. But it was worth it and I'm really glad she made it.
Every day that goes by with her I love her more and more, I actually consider her as my daughter. She always plays like crazy and never stops.
What makes her special? I don't know if all orphaned kittens do it or not, but since she opened her eyes and starts to walk, she was simulating to be nursed from her mother, she puts her whole face in my belly or between my body and my arm, and starts to purr and acting like she's drinking from her mother, whenever she does this I feel very bad for her.
But now she's a happy kitten, living a happy life, and never wants to leave my side.
