I present Sweeney and Todd, whom I adopted from Homeward Pet in Woodinville, Washington, on January 8th 2011, when the Seahawks beat the Saints! Yes!
Woodinville is also wine country, where we picked up our wines and picked up these two big boys at Homeward. They were named Sweeney and Todd by the shelter, They were rescued from an abandoned mobile home park in Eastern Washington. Go figure. They are gorgeous cats. Homeward folks named them appropriately, Sweeney and Todd, as they are little hellions.
After losing my former beloved siamese brothers, Sake and Nikko, and feeling lost from cat comfort, in January 2011, my bff found these Snowshoe-siamese guys on Petfinder and suggested that we should get our wine and take a look. We got the wine (listened to the game) , and then we checked out the cats. They were twice the size of my former cats. Although their ages were different, 3 & 4, they were said to be brothers and " bonded". Meaning, they go together to their home. And that is what I did.
Todd, the darker one, is known as "The Mighty Hunter" that kills mice and birds and brings them home dead. You don't want to know the kill number. But he is now 13 and hasn't killed anything and brought it home in 4 years, and now only poses as the sentry to my house at the top of the hill.
Sweeney, a.k.a. "Hungry Fat One" (named by boyfriend, not me) has never killed anything, only bringing a live mouse into the house by the tail, which I was able to let free and escape. He is now 14. He is sentry also to my house, and likes to watch over his Kingdom, from his perch inside.
