This is our adored kitty, Bitsy. We adopted her from the McMinn Co. Animal Shelter when she was only two months old. She was a Christmas present for my mother, an Alzheimer patient. Bitsy is now twelve years old and the sweetest kitty. She enjoys being held and cuddled by mother when she visits her in the nursing home.
Bitsy shares her home with her "sister," a lively Boston Terrier named Molly. They like to chase eachother through the house. Of course, after her morning exercise, she then retires to her bed for a refreshing nap, Most of her day is spent watching the activities of the squirrels in the yard from her perch on the window sill. When her youngest family member gets home from school, she "helps" him with his homework by lying close by, or in some cases, on top of the homework, and purrs loudly. She spends her evenings entertaining her family with her antics. Her favorite activity is hiding in a paper bag and jumping out to scare whoever walks by, this is great fun! She like to chase a ball, and will try to pick it up with her mouth and throw it back to you so the fun can continue. At night she sleeps in the bed with the family member of her choice. What a life!
