My cat Lana is one of the most beautiful cats I have ever seen. We adopted her from a local animal shelter along with her "brother", Sterling, who we adopted at the same time. They're both in the second picture. Her coloring is very unique and somewhat rare. She loves to perch on things and watch what is going on below; scanning her domain, if you will. Some of her favorite things to do are bat around fabric covered mice from the top of her cat house and scoop things around the room, we call it her playing soccer. She is sort of skittish when at first, and she won't come out much, but if you are over at the house enough or live at the house, you'll see her all the time. Never once has she bitten anyone living at our house, although she has scratched, but only because she was playing.
One of the cutest things she does among many things is mouthing at birds sitting on the tree outside the patio. She makes little noises and moves her mouth when she sees the birds and puts her paw against the glass of the window or door. Also, she'll talk to you for a brief period too. If you mimic a meowing sound, she'll meow back. The longest I've ever "conversed" with her is 30 seconds. It's so funny because of how vocal she is sometimes. I love her so much and she knows she has good owners now who won't ever neglect her.
