I found her in an animal shelter when she was only one year old. She is almost two now. She travels with me in my RV all over the western US; last summer we did 8,000 miles!
Tortoiseshell is her breed, and she has plenty of "tortatude!" I've always had a cat; my last Tabby made it 14 years. After she died, I waited a year to get another one. Josie approached me at the animal shelter, so that was it. Her name there was "Karma," too ... so while that sealed the decision, it was not a good name for her. Josie suits her better, we think!
She "fetches" rubber bands when I shoot them! And she won't drink water out of her bowl - it has to be running out of the bathroom faucet .. She is not a "lap cat", though she sleeps with me on the bed.
And she only eats Chicken of the Sea" canned tuna. Like I said, plenty of "tortatude!"
