We have three cats, this is Sam, and he's our tuxedo cat, and the oldest of the trio. They are all rescues.
One day my husband came home from work and he said a little kitten had followed him inside his warehouse. He wanted to keep him at work for company but one of his workers was allergic to cats. So he brought him home. It was not love at first sight because no sooner did he make himself at home than he proceeded to destroy everything in sight. No matter what I did to try to prevent him from breaking things, it was inevitable, he was so curious. My husband would come home and say what did Sam break today. Christmas ornaments, forget about it, all my glass ones were broken the first year. But throughout all this destruction, I came to love him because he is so smart. He can open doors, he recognizes his name, he absolutely knows when he is doing something he should not do. He loves to cuddle with me at night.
The other cats in that last picture are Boo, and Max, but Sam is definitely the boss. Honorable mention for Pepe, the dog with him in the first picture. He passed away last April. He was the main boss and then when Pepe was not there Sam took over.
