I
got Gloria for my 18th birthday. I'd been begging my Mom for a cat for
years, and she finally agreed. Gloria is from a litter of seven, and I chose
her because the first time I held her, she curled up in my lap and purred for
over half-an-hour. When I brought her home at three months, she went
exploring all over the house immediately. She's the perfect lap cat, but she
also loves to play and explore. We often play fetch with a leather mouse or
plastic ball down the hall.
Gloria always makes me smile when I'm feeling down. She goes to sleep at the
foot of the bed, but when I wake up, she's laying next to me - little head on
the pillow, body under the blanket. When she feels lonely, she'll knock my
book down and go to sleep on it to prove that she's more important than
whatever I am reading. Unlike some cats, Gloria is nice to all strangers. She
loves attention, and everyone who meets her says that she is the sweetest cat
ever. She's my baby, and I love her so much.
