We
first saw Puss in her cage at the RSPCA animal shelter and we have never
seen a sadder more forlorn looking little cat. She is so beautiful, but we
have trouble getting her to let us keep the knots out of her lovely long
coat. She has taken nine months to slowly come out of her shell and trust us
since her first family left her at the shelter with three bad teeth and
conjunctivitis. At first she wouldn't let us kiss or cuddle her and didn't
play like her companion Tootsie, but slowly and surely she has blossomed into
a loving girl who adores her sheepskin lined basket and play tunnel.
Although Puss is very gentle she knows what she wants and makes sure we give
it to her, particularly food! She has a rather fat tummy and would eat and
eat if we would let her. She has lovely furry "pants" and tail and looks very
cute as she hurries along to her dish miaowing and looking over her shoulder
to make sure her next meal is on its way.
