I
rescued Leo from the local pound to be buddies with my Great Dane, Xena.
They got along so well. I sware Leo thought he was a dog for a while. Xena
passed in 2006. It was just Leo and me until I met my husband in 2009. We
married in 2010 and I became a Stepmom to one chow mix and two cats, all
rescued, or course. My husband would nver have it any other way. His chow,
Ellie passed two years ago. We have since resued a blue heeler mix from the
Humane Society, Oreo. And sometimes Leo steals her dog house.
Leo loves coming in and out, in and out as often as you'd let him. Since we
have five acres he spends more time outside than in, by his own choice. I named
him Leo because he's not afraid of anything and he is quite the hunter. He
loves playing with baby snakes (no kidding). He has yet to be bitten. He has
also captured a bat! Not sure how he managed that one. He's a very sweet cat
who enjoys the occasional snuggle for about ten minutes and he's a very loud
purrer. I hope Leo hangs around for many more years!
