I
would like to introduce my sweet cat Felix. Felix and his sister Felicia
were stray kittens born outside my house (actually on my front porch) six years
ago. I was there when their mom brought them into our lives! From the moment
I saw him, I knew he was something special. Felix is like no other cat I've
ever owned. He's actually more like a dog than a cat. He comes running right
away when I call him, he's the first to greet me every morning when we awake,
and when I ask him "who loves you," he extends his paw and puts it on my arm!
If I ask him a question, he "chirps," it cracks me up. I grew up with kitties
my entire life but I have never met a cat who fully understands what you're
saying ... and responds to you!
Four years ago we had the scare of our lives when I found Felix laying in the
dining room in severe pain. Little did I know, his kidneys were filled with
crystals and they were about to burst. I quickly rushed him to the vet and
before I could finish signing papers to have him examined, the doctor took
him into surgery within moments, they told me afterwards, of us losing him. I
am so glad that Felix and I have the type of relationship that we do. It's
because he did not come running when I called for him that morning that gave it away.
Today, he's like a kid all over again! I love watching him play with his
sisters/brothers, chase ice across the kitchen floor, look at me like I'm the
only one in the entire world and so much more! He truly is my sweet, sweet boy!
